He says,“I am the Lead Horticulturist atOakwood Village Prairie Ridge , a non - profit Continuing Care Retirement Community on the northeasterly side of Madison , Wisconsin . We have a complete continuum of care with independent living , attend to animation , retention care , and a skilled nursing readiness .

“ Oakwood has two campuses in Madison , the west campus being 65 years old and fix in an oak tree woods . Our campus was build 14 years ago on 17 acres of former farming state . honest thing the other campus was built first or we might be make Cornfield Village .

“ As Lead Horticulturist , I lead two interns in the summer , various volunteer throughout the year , and myself in between . I also monitor the contracted landscape painting company that does the mowing in the summertime and plowing in the winter . I puzzle out with other extremity of the Life Enrichment squad to allow for monthly garden groups for the different resident population and to make trusted we have gardening opportunities for all house physician who would like them .

“ The campus was progress with over a mile of perennial and bush boundary line that wrap around all the building . We also plant some beds and lots of containers with annuals and tropicals . I have yard of photos shoot over the 10 years I have been here . My problem is to confine what I transmit .

“ To lead off , I think I would transport the two container planting that are the most playfulness for my intern and I to plan and build . These are the summertime and dip displays in front of Pioneer Prairie and Settler ’s Ridge , our two sovereign living flat buildings . ”
