The specific epithet " annuum(AN - yoo - um ) " is the neuter form of the Latin procedural " annuus , " meaning " yearly , yearly , lasting a year , " and refers to the life cycle of the mintage .
The native range ofSedum annuumis northernEurope , Iceland , most of the mickle ranges of central and southern Europe , and throughoutAnatoliaandIran . It grows on sunny rocks , stony ground , and gravelly place at elevations of up to 9,850 feet ( 3,000 m ) .

Sedum annuumis anannualor rarelybiennialsucculent with vertical stem that brook pea - green or red - tinged leaves . It can rise up to 8 inches ( 20 cm ) improbable . The stems are simple or fork from the base . The leaves are duncical , fleshy , linear - oblong oroblong - elliptic , sessilewith a poor , broadtruncatespur , and can evaluate up to 0.25 inches ( 0.6 cm ) long .
The flowers are yellow , sometimes tinged with bolshy . They are wiz - shaped , 5 - merous , and come out in laxcymeswith 3 to 15 flowers on 1 to 3 outgrowth in summertime .
Light : Although common and far-flung in the wild , S. annuumis not much cultivate . It grows best in positioning where it will love the full sunlight for at least six hour per day .
