Leftover material put to good use

Today ’s photos arrive from Jill Blodget in Cameron Park , California ( Dame Rebecca West of Sacramento ) .

Every mean solar day we search for silver lining in the current worldwide berth . This is one of ours : a trellis - arbor made from detail we already had . It supports picklingcucumbersand perch noodle , and it has a 2d round of snow peas bug out at the far end , with a fewzinniasthrown in for fun ! The some 1875 - square - foot garden is completely enclose by galvanized fencing , as we live in deer and rabbit area .

We used material lead over from retiring landscape and construction labor to make this arbor , since we could n’t just run to the store for material . We used bender circuit card , metallic element tetraiodothyronine - post , and cake 3×3 telegram . It is not precisely the same height throughout , as we were working only with material we had . We used leftover fencing material this season to maketomato cagesfor our Early Girl and Better Boytomatoes , which are presently 7 foot tall .

The mandrel makes a groovy support for the growing cucumber vines .

The goldfinches come out in droves every morning to perch on the arbor .

We add together the pavers between the beds last year forweed control , and added the fountain for the bird as well to add to the ambiance for us .
