Today Laura Snyder is lease us on a trip to a genuinely special garden presentation .
I saw this exhibit back in 2017 , but I felt it was too spectacular not to share with your readers . I took these images on a sojourn with two of the members of my local garden group . You will see from my photos that a figure of historical and cultural figures and scenes are represent : Anne of Green Gables , hockey Nox in Canada , a Mountie , pelt trappers , Inuit and North American Indians , etc . This was a stunning aggregation made almost completely of plant .
The display was called MOSAÏCANADA and appear in Jacques Cartier Park in Gatineau , Quebec . Artists combine carving and horticulture to create these hold up works of art . The planting are all annual , chosen for the foliage color , not peak , to make a long - go display . These types of plantings developed in France in the recent 1800s and were pop in straightlaced meter , but they since have fallen out of party favor . What a treat to see this intense and labor - intensive art form on display in a public garden today !

Anne of Green Gables , made of plants .
A Canadian Mountie . The scale of these creations is astonishing — more than life sentence - size of it , as the people in this photo make absolved .
How adorable are these foxes ?

A fisherman riding on waves of efflorescence gets watered by an heedful gardener . The carving have interior irrigation arrangement but clearly require a bunch of care and tending to keep them looking perfect .
Puffins !
These shaggy buffalo may be my very favorite ! I need one for my garden .

This is Canada , so of course there had to be a hockey game - theme planting .
And lastly , a incite image of the sweetheart and richness talented to us all by Mother Nature .
These cosmos are so exciting and cool . Is anyone tempt to seek and make something exchangeable in their own home garden ? It might be fun to strain , but I ’m trusted much harder than it even look .
