More summer in a beautiful garden
We ’re back in Massachusetts today , chatter Tingshu Hu ’s garden . We pick up her front garden in July yesterday , and today we ’re moving to the back garden in gamey summertime .
Early morning sun beam on the fishpondafter a day of heavy rain . ‘ downhearted Spruce ’ sedum(Sedumreflexum‘Blue Spruce ’ , Zones 4–9 ) with chickenhearted blossom stems rise alongside the pink red coral bell flowers(Heucherahybrid , Zones 4–9 ) . A batrachian sits on top of a lily pad .
Along with thewaterlily(Nymphaea sp.)flowers , you’re able to see at least two batrachian in the pond if you front closely .

Orange daylily(Hemerocallisfulva , Zones 4–9 ) blooming in the front . The pergola is covered withClematisflowers .
Looking from behind the arbour , you could see clematis flowers on the leftfield , and rose campion(Lychniscoronaria , Zones 4–8 ) and whitened hollyhock(Alcearosea , Zones 2 – 10 ) in the front . There are more blossom of the orange daylily in the back .
Penstemon(Penstemondigitalis , Zones 3–8 ) and delphinium(Delphiniumelatum , Zones 3–7 ) in the centre continue to flower since lateJune . In July the daylily ’s orange flowers andsmooth hydrangea‘s white flowers(Hydrangea arborescens , Zones 3–9 ) conjoin the show . On the pergola are pinkish - white flowers ofRosa‘New Dawn ’ ( Zones 5–11 ) .

Rose campion , Rosa‘Don Juan ’ ( Zones 5–9 ) , astilbe(Astilbechinensis , Zones 4–8 ) , and daylily(Hemerocallis‘Stella De Oro ’ , Zones 3–10 )
Looking across thegrapepergola , you could seeRosa‘Don Juan ’ , originate campion , astilbe , and daylily on the right side , with fluid hydrangea ’s white flower on the other end .
Cordyline‘Red Sister ’ ( zone 9–11 ) is in the front , with daylily and smoothhydrangeaflowering farther away .

Canna‘Striata ’ ( Zones 8–10 or as a tender bulb ) stand tall . To the left of it are the very fragrant peak ofLilium‘Yelloween ’ ( Zones 4–9 ) .
Canna entrust in the forenoon sunshine provide a background for the flowers of the purpledahlia(Dahlia variabilis , zone 8–10 or as a bid bulb ) .
