A Canadian garden draws on gardens from similar climates
Today ’s photograph are from Cherry Ong ’s recent visit to Butchart Gardens in British Columbia , Canada . You ’ve believably seen photograph of parts of the garden , but Cherry is treating us to a looking at some less visited ( but no less beautiful ) areas of the garden . She indite :
These photos are from the Mediterranean Garden , which is sadly found adjacent to the parking lot and not frequented by the hordes like the Sunken Garden or Italian Garden . The description of the garden on the folder reads : “ A festivity of our mild clime , this unusual garden features many drouth resistant plants from various orbit of the public that share standardised growing condition to ours . ”

Mediterranean - type climate are establish in only a few places in the world : around the Mediterranean Sea ( plain ) , central Chile , westerly South Africa , southwesterly Australia , and the west coast of North America .
