In a Vase on Easter Sunday.
I am join in withCathy‘s ‘ In a Vase on Monday ’ meme this week , but as it is Easter I am doing it a day betimes , so that I can have a skillful refreshed vase for when the family come in for luncheon .
I have a little French Dubarry cracked orchis vase which is utter for Easter arrangements . I put the arrangement in the birdbath to snap it in natural light . There are so many jewel - similar blossom out in the Spring garden to gibe the colours on the vase . The bloom I used are three littleNarcissus . There is aN.’Bridal Veil ” which I had leave in the nursery from last class ; alsoNarcissus‘Tete - Tete ’ and the flyspeck N.canaliculatus . I used slew of different sort ofPrimula , Pulmonaria , a tinyTulip clusiana , Muscari , Iris lazica , a smallHyacinth , the white bells ofLeucojum aestivum , the scramblingAkebia pentaphyllawhich is just come out , some starry white blossom ofSkimmia japonicasubsp . ‘ Reevesiana ’ and some orange leaf of theSpiraea japonica‘Goldflame ’ .

Happy Easter ! The vase is gorgeous to begin with , and then adding those colored blooms take a leak for knock - out display . The burgundy and yellow Primulas are peculiarly dramatic . Gorgeous !
