A botanical garden known for its roses has a tropical bonus
Happy Friday , GPODers !
We ’re wrapping up this week with some bonus pictures from my trip last year to Hershey Gardens .
After checking out the endlessrosevarieties and meandering through various themed gardens , you must make one more stop before leaving : The Butterfly Atrium . Aside from the amazingbutterfliesthat can be discern fly around , there is a blazing raiment oftropical plants . This is a tiny atrium that is so much more conducive to stray and admiring than stopping and strike photos , but below are some of the honorable shots I get .

A sensational ocean of greens ! Ferns are thriving in the humid atrium .
Whether in warmer locus or tropical greenhouses , seeing works we might typically see ashouseplantsin their full , innate form is always a treat . I ’ve spotted countlessCordylinefruticosa‘Florida ’ in the plant shop , but nothing quite like this one .
This is the tolerant ofsnake plantplanting I dreaming of ! There are so many different colors and variegations on display here , and they are paired beautifully with bromeliads . Bonus points to anyone who can recognize the butterfly in this word-painting !

If you ’ve taken a thrust at produce calathea , you might be drooling at your screen door right now . These rattler calathea ( Goeppertia insignis ) were mind - boggling .
If it was n’t clear yet , I ’m a sucker for a funky foliation plant . With that being said , I was enthralled by these delicate little orchid flower ( potentiallyOdontoglossumChayenne ) growing around from frangipani ( Plumeria rubra)foliage .
do ON ! When foliage plant like this stunningly white‘Fireworks ’ begonia(Begonia ‘ pyrotechnic ’ , Zones 10–11 ) are in the room , how do you have eyes for anything else ?

Finally , what every gardener with limited space dream of — a wall of plants !
