Gardening
During this class I have been sporadically busy with some changes to the layout of my suburban secret plan , my initial musings are detailedhere . At the scratch of the year the garden looked like this :
Since then I have change theline of the path , build theseating areaand found up the new border smother it .

The next line of work has been to put out a couple of borders near the patio . Some of this is in note with my quick back of an envelope design , and some is a little different . I adjudicate not to dig up the whole of the lawn on the unexpended side of the path . I believe that is a little extreme at this level , and I worry it will make the garden lop - sided . I would n’t rule it out in the future tense , no doubt I ’ll be count for more planting distance next yr !
The same needs doing on other side . I just have to determine how much of the lawn to take . My intellection is to extend the patio mete a little so that it trace the inside of the way of life for a pair of metre . This would make a sort of U - shape , or a backwards J perhaps . The long side is the sunny mete on the left , the base is the border on the bottom left of the picture . The new part would then be the light side of the joule , extending the borderline into towards the path . The yellow melodic phrase in the photo below is something like what I ’m after .
I follow the same procedure on this side , move out the greensward , give it a seeing to with the pick ax , then forking in a burden of compost . I ’m not ready to plant up yet , so I ’ve embrace with some weed tissue layer to halt the cats using it as a lav .
I have a mates of small-scale modifications that I might still do this year . The note of the perimeter on the left of the garden ( expect down from above ) is a small square , a petty inorganic . I might make the furrow of the edge a more graceful curve through the corner , so it is a footling less right - angle , same hand at the final stage nearest the patio . by from that , I think that is the conclusion of this year ’s tinkering with the garden layout . Next yr , I still have half a mind still to add a rose arch along the path , and possibly another border on the veracious side of the path where it curves towards the slide . I also think I could chip at out a spot more planting space on the right of the path as it disappears off down the side of the house . And do n’t get me started with what I might do when the climbing frame finally go …
