The Garden Centre Association ( GCA ) has on September 7 announce the finalists for its one-year Ruxley Rose competition .
Twenty centres all experience top scores in the GCA ’s summer inspection , delay from the normal spring inspections due to Covid , and have now been put forward for autumn judgment .
Iain Wylie , GCA Chief Executive , said : “ sooner this year our member garden centre received visit from our inspector and their findings have set the 10 finalists in the Garden Centre ( GC ) class and the 10 finalists in the Destination Garden Centre ( DGC ) class . All of the finalist are now through to the autumn stage of the contest and will be visited by our judge , Alyson Haywood , this calendar month . She will evaluate how our member are continuing to advertise and betray plants during the autumn season .

“ The centres will also be judged on their excellent quality , intro and overall mountain range of plants available as well as the layout of their flora country . Overall printing , access code and purpose of demonstration areas will also be look at .
“ Staff at our member centres are also being pronounce on their knowledge and client care and service of process . ”

A winner from each category will be watch and announce during the GCA ’s annual conference in January 2022 .
